Common questions

Voice directions are silent. Check the speaker icon on the navigation screen isn't muted, and that your phone isn't on silent with media volume down.

Directions stop when I lock my phone. In the app, allow location access ("While Using" is enough; "Always" keeps working in the background more reliably). In a web browser, keep the screen on: browsers pause location when the screen locks.

Does it work with no signal? Yes, once you've pressed Start with a connection. The directions, voice prompts and the map along your route are saved on your phone. Live delays and rerouting need a connection.

How accurate are prices? Costs are estimates (UK rail and TfL fares are close to real walk-up prices). Flight times and fares are typical, not real schedules: always check before you book.

Speed cameras and limits come from OpenStreetMap and may be incomplete or out of date. Always follow the road signs.
